Timeless Love from a Young Heart

I mustn't say I love you
you're someone else's boy
I mustn't want to hold you
that's someone else's joy
I mustn't let my eyes light up
when someone calls your name
you're someone else's boyfriend
but I love you all the same.

When links of love are broken
And lovers have to part
It leaves a wound that never heals
An ever aching heart
No one knows my sorrow
The pain I have to keep
I shed my tears in silence
While others are asleep
But soon we'll be together again
Never more to part
Till then my dearest darling
You'll stay within my heart.

A thousand words can't bring you back
I know because I've tried
A thousand tears can't bring you back
I know because I've cried
A thousand sorry's can't bring you back
I know for what I've done
Anyway I love you
And you're the only one.
